Notable for a remarkably comprehensive, contemporary African art collection which spans a wide range of art disciplines, the Dei Centre is a vital cultural center, an educational institution, and a place for the study of contemporary African art.

Visitors can experience special exhibitions of contemporary art, talks, performances,film screenings, and daily tours of the centre led by a group of young docents. Based upon a collection of the Dei Foundation, the Dei centre is a partnership between the Seth and Carleene Dei Foundation and New York University’s Africa House. Today it is an ever-growing institution devoted to contemporary African Art and beyond.
